REITER DIES OF PARALYSIS - 76 YEAR-OLD WOMAN TAKEN BY DEATH SUNDAY Mrs. Mathilda Reiter, 76, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martin Reichlin, 331 W. 15th St. at 7:20 p.m. Sunday following a stroke of paralysis on Friday. She had been ill more than two months. She was born in Wurtenburg, Germany, in 1848 and came to this Country at the age of 17. In 1870, at the age of 22, she married George Reiter at St. Joseph's Church in Fremont, OH. She came to Lorain 16 years ago from Kelley's Island. Her husband a private in CO. K 128th regiment, Ohio volunteer infantry, died in 1911. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. A. C. Peiffer, Bowling Green; six daughters, Mrs. Martin Reichlin; Mrs. Joseph Linden; Mrs. William Heider; all of Lorain, Mrs. Zeno Reichlin; Mrs. William Smith; and Mrs. Henry Felden; of Cleveland, 29 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Mother's society of St. Joseph's Church. Services will be held at St. Joseph's Church at 9 a.m., Thursday. Rev. Charles Reichlin will officiate at solemn requiem high mass. Burial will be made at Calvary cemetery under the direction of Reichlin-Reidy-Scanlan. Pallbearers were Charles Reichlin, Lawrence Reichlin, Claude Smith, Lewis Smith, Edward Rohr, and Edward Sadler.
