Shared note | OBIT MARTIN REICHLIN TAKEN BY DEATH Funeral services for Martin Reichlin, 72, 331 W. 15th St., will be conducted by his son, Rev. Fr. Urban Reichlin, assistant pastor of St. Rose Church, Cleveland, on Thursday morning at 10:30 at St. Joseph Church. The former Baltimore and Ohio railroad employe died yesterday. He was born in Switzerland and came to Lorain 56 years ago. He was one of the founders of St. Joseph's Church which celebrated its 50th anniversary yesterday. He was employed here 50 years by the railroad. He is survived by his wife, Josephine, and a second son, Martin, also a railroad employe, Leonard a cousin, will assist the Kaufman and Sons funeral home, Cleveland, where he is employed, with arrangements. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. SON TO CONDUCT REICHLIN RITES SOLEMN REQUIEM MASS TO BE THURSDAY Three priests, including his son and cousin, will conduct rites for Martin Reichlin, 72, 331 W. 15th St., when solemn requiem mass is held at St. Joseph's Church at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. He died Sunday. The celebrant of the mass will be his son, Rev. Fr. Urban Reichlin, assistant pastor of St. Rose's Church, Cleveland. Rev. Fr. Joseph Reichlin, cousin of Martin, pastor of St. Barbara's, Massillon, will act as deacon. Rev. Fr. Jerome N. Rohner, pastor of St. Joseph's, Lorain, will be sub-deacon and deliver the sermon. Reichlin a resident of Lorain for 52 years was the brother of Rev. Fr. Charles Reichlin, founder and former pastor of St. Joseph's. He was born in Switzerland and came to Lorain 52 years ago. He served as a painter for Baltimore and Ohio railroad until his retirement in 1939. He was with the company 42 years. Funeral in charge of son. Funeral arragements are in charge of his son, Leonard, who is assistant manager of the C. L. Kaufman funeral home in Cleveland. Rev. Fr. Casimir Reichlin, who died in 1917 and was an uncle of the veteran railroad man, was founder of St. Stephen's church on the west side of Cleveland. Another uncle, Rev. Fr. Leonard Reichlin, was pastor of the parish that the Lorainite attended in Switzerland before coming to the United States. He is survived by his wife, Josephine, and a third son, Martin C., Lorain. A brother Zeno, resides in Cleveland. Another brother Casimir, was a former partner in the Reichlin-Reidy-Scanlan furniture and funeral parlors here. He died Jan 19, 1920. The body is at the home and will remain there until church services. He will be buried in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
