Shared note | OBIT William Heider, Sr., 79, of 903 W. 22nd St., died last night at the residence after an illness of two months. He was born March 31, 1878, in Avon Lake and came to Lorain at the age of 21. A retired carpenter, he was a member of St. Joseph Church, Holy Name Society and the Knights of St. John 314. Surviving are the widow, Sophie; two sons, William and Oscar, both of Lorain; three daughters, Mrs. Marcella Fitch of Parma Heights and Mrs. Gertrude Schneider and Mrs. Alma Eastin both of Lorain; a brother George of Miami, Fla., a sister Mrs Margaret Theisen of Cleveland, and 13 grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a High Mass at St. Joseph Church at 11:00 a.m. with a nephew, Rev. Fr. Urban Reichlin the celebrant, assisted by a cousin, Rev. Fr. John Schwartz, and Rev. Fr. Jerome Rohner, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
