Born Dec. 28, 1914, in Vindex, she was the daughter of the late Asa and Ina (Conner) Harris. She was predeceased in death by a son, George Thomas Knotts. Mrs. Knotts was a member of the New Covenant United Methodist Church and was retired after 24 years of service in the business office of Memorial Hospital. Surviving are her husband of 69 years, George H. Knotts; grandchildren, George E. Knotts and wife Michele of Ellerslie, and Regina A. Miller and husband J. Shawn of Frostburg; two great-grandchildren, George Lucas Knotts and Kristin Michele Knotts; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Hebb and husband Charles of Corriganville; and three sisters, Lena Robinette of Cumberland, Bernice Baker and husband Ray of Cumberland, and Vivian Cifranic of Cleaveland, Ohio. Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Jewell officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland. Pallbearers will be Bart Deneen, Shawn Miller, Fred Higson, Ray Baker, Roy Knotts, and Charles Hebb. |
