Shared note

Frances Mary Allington from Britain was an orphan. Her mother was very rich and probably royalty but died when she was born. Her father died when she was two and the rest of the family wanted nothing to do with her. She was adopted by a family but when she was 7 the family had children of their own. She was taken out of that home because they thought she was being abused and because the family did not want her any more. She was sent to live with the nuns at Tiffin where they tried to get her large inheritance for her. They did not succeeed. At 12 years old she became a Catholic. The rest of her records were burnt.

Great Grandmother - Frances Mary Allington - Born England (or New York) but I think England. [Her] mother died when when was a baby & her father died when she was two. Was very rich & lived with a family that started to mistreat her when she was about seven. A priest took her to the {illegible} in Tiffin & said he would try to get her heritage, but didn't want some families to know where she was. All the nuns knew was she had beautiful clothes & wasn't Catholic. She became Catholic when she was about eleven. When she was about 16 Father Seeholzer took her to Kelleys Island to live with his brother's family (that's where Norby lives now).
